Crown Equipment opens first direct sales and service operation in Brazil

The facility, which is in the Anhanguera Logistics Center in Jundiaí, São Paulo, is strategically located to serve the dynamic growth expansion of the São Paulo region.

Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, today announced the opening of its first company-owned Crown Lift Trucks operation in Brazil. The facility, which is in the Anhanguera Logistics Center in Jundiaí, São Paulo, is strategically located to serve the dynamic growth expansion of the São Paulo region.

“This is an exciting time for Crown Equipment as we expand our global network of Crown Lift Trucks retail operations,” said Jim Dicke III, president, Crown Equipment. “Our customers are strategically entering this growing market, and it’s important that we’re there with them. The corresponding volume of goods distributed in Brazil means opportunity for Crown products and services, and we are positioned to serve our customers with our award-winning product line and trusted support programs.”

The Crown Brazil operation features a showroom and warehouse located in a new 3,300-square-meters (35,000-square-foot) facility. Similar to other Crown operations around the world, customers will have the opportunity to experience all available Crown products and services.

Evandro Martins, general manager, Crown Lift Trucks in Brazil, noted, “Our business model will be different from material handling options currently available in Brazil. Crown’s experience and expertise with direct retail operations will bring an enhanced level of product and parts availability, a full suite of service and support programs, and rental/financial options to customers in Brazil.
