Loscam, Asia Pacific’s leading pallet pooling service provider, recently opened a new depot in Kota Kinabalu, capital city of the state of Sabah Malaysia, further extending its services to East Malaysia.
This is the third depot in Loscam Malaysia’s pooling network, adding to its strategically-located main service centre in Shah Alam and the southern depot in Johor. The new depot in Sabah underlies Loscam’s long term commitment to expand the company’s pooling services and solutions to customers across major cities and economic areas in Malaysia.
”Sabah is the commercial and logistics hub in East Malaysia. The depot opening is a key milestone for Loscam Malaysia, allowing us to fulfil our commitment to providing quality services to our customers whenever and wherever they need Loscam pallets,” said Gavin Li, Country Manager of Loscam (Malaysia).
“The new depot in Kota Kinabalu will enable us to further support our customers who have expanded and who will expand to the State of Sabah, as we now have the capability to provide prompt and high-quality pallet rental and pooling services to them locally,” he added.
Established in Australia more than 70 years ago, Loscam expanded into Asia in 1993, and opened the first service depot in Malaysia in 1994. Today, Loscam operates in 10 countries across Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Greater China regions. Loscam is the pioneer in the introduction of the pallet pooling concept in these regions.
Modern retailing has evolved rapidly in Malaysia. During the course of the evolution, pallet pooling is a key enabler to ensure efficient supply chains which benefit the country enormously through increased velocity and lower logistics costs.
