Your ProMat 2015 registration not only gives you access to the 325,000 square feet of exhibits, educational sessions and keynotes in McCormick Place South, it also grants you access to Automate 2015 located directly across the Grand Concourse hallway in McCormick Place North. Both shows run concurrently, Monday, March 23 through Thursday, March 26, and share identical hours: Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Like ProMat, Automate has experienced tremendous growth, said George Prest, CEO of MHI. “ProMat 2015 is the largest it’s ever been; Automate has seen huge growth as well, with an additional 50% more floor space reserved by exhibitors than their 2013 show. Combined, the two shows take up about 400,000 square feet of McCormick Place.”
Automate—like MHI-sponsored ProMat—is held every two years. Sponsored by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3)—and its trade associations, the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), AIA – the global association for vision and imaging, and the Motion Control Association (MCA)—Automate showcases the full spectrum of automation technologies and solutions. More information about the show can be found at http://www.automateshow.com.
MHI and A3 first brought the two shows together in 2011 to help visitors maximize their travel time and budget. Feedback from attendees of both shows was overwhelmingly positive, added Prest.
“Automation is being used to a greater extent than ever in the materials handling arena,” he added. “Co-locating gives material handling professionals the chance to see the latest in robotics, machine vision, motion control and other technologies at Automate. And, it gives Automate participants a chance to see how those technologies can be applied in materials handling, logistics and warehousing across the hall at ProMat.”
MHEDA-NET Connections Conference
Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) is co-locating its MHEDA-NET Connections Conference at ProMat. Conference participation is open to all current and prospective MHEDA members. Held today from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in McCormick Place South Room 4064BC, the new event is designed to foster better connections with customers, colleagues and peers. The session includes interactive presentations, a panel discussion, roundtable sharing and lunch. Although the event required pre-payment and registration through http://www.mheda.org/connections ($129 for MHEDA members, $299 for non-members), a few last-minute openings are still available. Check at MHEDA’s ProMat exhibit, Booth 1885, to register.
MHEDA is also hosting a free networking reception from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the Connections Conference. The informal gathering—in McCormick Place South Room 4064BC—is also open to MHEDA members and prospective members, with complimentary beer, wine and soda served. RSVP for this event at MHEDA’s Booth 1885.
