To prevent spillage and equipment breakdown caused by conveyed material escape, a self-adjusting conveyor belt skirting system by Martin Engineering creates a constant, tight seal to the belt.

The skirt is engineered to adapt to any processing system, regardless of material volume and size diversity, making it ideal for bulk material processing across many different industries. As the friction from the belt wears down the seal strip of standard skirting systems, workers have to shut down the conveyor and use tools to manually adjust it.

To eliminate manual intervention, the self-adjusting uses a pressure arm attached to a clamp plate to maintain a constant belt seal. The skirt requires just 1.25 inches of free belt area, allowing it to fit conveyors with chutes close to the belt edge. Made of durable synthetic rubber, the strip measures 0.75 inches wide and provides 2 inches of wear life at speeds of up to 700 feet per minute.
