Shuttle vertical lift module

Adaptable as business processes and storage needs change, the Kardex Remstar’s Shuttle vertical lift module features modular construction that allows the location, height and configuration to be easily modified.

To maximize storage density within the unit, the VLM combines both hardware and controls using dynamic storage allocation upon putaway, measuring the height of each tray to the nearest inch to determine the best storage position. The machine can be equipped with several access points to link work zones together and maximize productivity by receiving materials on one level and extracting in a different level.

For improved picking, the machine’s intelligent tray storage feature automatically tracks the number of times specific trays are accessed by the operator to store those most frequently accessed closest to the opening. Picking is also speeded up with dual tray delivery, maneuvering trays behind a closed shuttle door to line up the next pick.
