Vanderlande Industries
Smart Item Robotics (SIR) technology

Optimize order picking with collaborative robot technology

Created for e-commerce warehousing, the Smart Item Robotics (SIR) technology provides robotic handling of single items in applications such as order picking and infeed loading.

It can also be applied in bin-to-bin picking, where the robot operates independently or in conjunction with an operator—no protective fencing or barrier required.

The system includes software that allows the robot to pick the majority of products without teach-in, making it ideal for accommodating the broad range of items associated with online retailers. To optimize order carton filling, the robot gently stacks products and can pick at rates up to 600 items per hour.
